France supports Bulgaria’s accession to the Schengen area, French Ambassador here Joel Myer told Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov, the Council of Ministers announced on its official Facebook page on Friday.
The two discussed the good bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy, defence, environment, agriculture, economy, culture and education.
Ambassador Meyer welcomed the formation of a regular government in Bulgaria. He assessed it as an important step towards achieving political stability and expressed the hope that the cabinet would be able to carry out reforms important for the country.
As BTA wrote, on Thursday Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov also had meetings with the ambassadors of Croatia and Italy – Jasna Ognjanovac and Guiseppina Dzara, during which the issue was also touched upon.
