The 8th summer opera festival in Belogradchik will begin on August 4 with a premiere of Madama Butterfly, an opera show created by Sofia Opera and Ballet in partnership with artists from South Korea. The preparation for the festival is already underway, BTA learned from Belogradchik Mayor Boris Nikolov.
As usual, the stage and the seats for the audience from Bulgaria and abroad are installed in the first court of the Belogradchik Fortress. With the Belogradchik Rocks in the background, the audience can feel the performances in a different way.
On the festival programme are two more performances of Madama Butterfly (August 5 and 6), two performances of Carmina Burana (August 11 and 13), and a Don Quixote classical ballet (August 12).
The opera festival is organized by Sofia Opera and Ballet with the assistance of Belogradchik Municipality. BTA is a media partner of the event.
