Minister of Education and Science Galin Tsokov will attend the opening of the International Linguistics Olympiad in Bansko, an annual international competition that brings together secondary school students and experts from various fields of linguistics. This year’s edition will be attended by 53 teams with over 200 youths from all over the world. It will take place on July 24 at 4 pm in the “Nikola Vaptsarov” community centre.
This is the 20th anniversary edition of the Olympiad. It is held annually, and Bulgaria is its founder. The first edition was in 2003 in Borovets. Bulgaria has participated with its own team in all Olympiads so far.
