The Council for Innovation, Digitalization and New Technologies at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) held a meeting with the Ministry of Economy and Industry’s leadership, BCCI said on its website on Wednesday.
The meeting discussed opportunities and initiatives aimed at creating prerequisites for access to finance for innovative Bulgarian enterprises, developing innovative potential leading to high added value for the top state-owned enterprises in the food, mining and defence industries, as well as at developing the national intellectual property protection system in its part related to objects of industrial property.
The two sides reached an agreement to form working groups in the context of the associate membership of the Economy Ministry to BCCI’s Council for Innovation. The working meetings will be held regularly every month and a half and will focus on achieving specific objectives in favour of developing an innovative ecosystem.
Recognizing the importance of industrial property for economic development, the participants shared their views on its relevance to the national innovation ecosystem, as well as the activity of all the state institutions involved in it, BCCI also said.
