Bulgarian Agriculture and Food Minister Kiril Vatev met here on Tuesday with US Ambassador in Sofia Kenneth Merten, Vatev’s Ministry said in a press release.
The Minister familiarized the diplomat with the action taken by Bulgaria to facilitate the transit of Ukrainian agricultural produce along the solidarity lanes. “We are helping Ukraine and provide full support to the best of our abilities,” he said.
The opportunities for expanding the export to the American market of Bulgarian processed products made according to traditional recipes were also on the agenda. “Bulgaria has wonderful wines with an enormous export potential,” Vatev emphasized.
