The Prime Minister and the grain producers must stop with the harsh qualifications and threats, GERB leader Boyko Borissov told journalists in the resort of Albena. He also said that problems are solved at the negotiating table and that Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov’s mistake was in the qualifications he used.
Borissov argued that the State should help the sector with new markets where wheat, corn and sunflowers can be exported. However, he recalled that when he was prime minister this branch received over 30 billion BGN and they cannot afford to talk about overthrowing the State.
Borissov thanked Kiril Petkov, Hristo Ivanov, Atanas Atanasov, Assen Vassilev and Delyan Peevski for the fact that through all legislation they are preparing and adopting, on Friday the European Commission finally closed the Cooperation and Verification Mechanismfor Bulgaria and Romania.
“This resonated very well in the world, this is very good for Bulgaria, this is very good for all of us,” Borissov stressed.
He added that Bulgaria’s entry into Schengen can only take place with zero tolerance regarding illegal migration and called on Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov, to focus all his attention on the borders.
