No protest actions of grain growers are expected in the centre of Sofia on Tuesday, the Interior Ministry said.
The announcement said that after a meeting with the initiative committee of the protesting grain growers at the Ministry, an agreement was reached on the free expression of civil position without disturbing public order and impeding the free movement of citizens. In this regard, under the control of the Ministry of Interior, the agricultural machinery will be deployed in a designated place near Dolni Bogrov, east of Sofia.
Farmers announced that on September 19 they plan a protest at the entrance to the capital. The machinery was expected to arrive at Botevgradsko Shose Boulevard. On Monday, there was a protest of farmers all over the country, blocking more than 40 important road points and border crossings.
